We're having our very first open day and we'd LOVE for you to join us!
We moved to our current office space (from Catriona's attic!) in summer 2022 and since then we've been working on setting up the little room in a way that works for us. This Saturday we're opening up our office to you for the first time! Here's some FAQs for the weekend...
Q. When is the Grid Fabrics Open Day?
A. Saturday 18th February, between 10am and 1pm.
Q. Where is Grid Fabrics?
A. Our address is Suite 261, Central Chambers, Glasgow, G2 6LY. It's just across the road from Glasgow Central Station. There are 4 entrances to Central Chambers (which is a huge building containing many offices and small businesses) and we'd recommend using the entrance on Hope Street next to Cafe Nero. Take the lift to the 3rd floor and turn right on your way through the double doors, two more right turns, down a few stairs and it's a white door on your right. We'll put a few signs up!
Q. What's the Open Day for?
A. We'd love to meet you all and show you all our lovely fabric! You can come and look at it, touch it, swish it around, compare it with other fabric, binding and buttons.
Q. Can I buy fabric on the day?
A. Yes! We can take card payments on our fancy new card machine.
Q. If I bring a sewing pattern along, will you help me choose fabric?
A. Yes! We LOVE doing this!
Q. I can't make it on Saturday; will you have another Open Day?
A. If this one goes well, then we'll look into future dates.
