Sewing can be an expensive hobby, so it's always nice to be able to pick up a pattern for free. We've collected some of our favourite clothing sewing patterns which you can download absolutely free, thanks to some generous creators.
1. Jumpsuit - Peppermint Magazine
Peppermint Magazine have a huge selection of free sewing patterns and their jumpsuit pattern, designed by In the Folds, is one of the most popular. They suggest chambray, cotton or linen and the instructions are very clear: a great project!

If you sign up to the Helen's Closet newsletter you can download the Luna Tank pattern for free! The Luna Tank is a comfortable, summery tank top that is quick to sew and a good pattern for beginners who want to try out lightweight, stretchy jersey or knits. It has sizes 0-30 and has two length options.

3. Orla Dress - French Navy Patterns
The Orla Dress pattern has a semi-fitted bodice with a slightly raised waist and works as a great everyday dress. French Navy recommend softly draping fabrics like rayon/viscose.

4. Veronika Skirt - Megan Nielson
This pretty circle skirt pattern works well with loads of different fabrics and has three versions to choose from depending on your preference and fabric choice. Love those scalloped pockets! All you have to do to get this pattern (and the Acacia Underwear pattern too) is sign up Megan Nielson's newsletter.
Fabric Suggestions:
This super straightforward skirt from Purl Soho has an elastic-waist, above-the-knee skirt and huge side pockets. The instructions include sizes for adults and children and you don't even need to print a pattern: just cut out rectangles in the sizes shown. Purl Soho have loads of free patterns on their site, not just for sewing!
