Heirloom Wovens - Fat Quarter Bundle

Fat quarter bundle featuring 19 fabrics from Alexia Marcelle Abegg's Warp & Weft Heirloom collection for Ruby Star Society. Inspired by vintage striped towels and woven beach chairs, this pack features a combination of light, shirting weight cottons and heavier "chore coat" cotton.

W&W Heirloom is a yarn-dyed woven collection. This means that the individual threads, or yarns, used to the make the fabric are dyed with color before they are woven together. This is different from printed quilting cottons, in which fabric is woven first, then the design printed on one side. (Sometimes "yarn-dyed wovens" is shortened to just "wovens" for simplicity; even though quilting cottons are woven fabrics too, when we say wovens here we mean yarn-dyed!)
